Throughout his high school and college years Bob Bensman worked for the Cleveland Press and the Cleveland Plain Dealer doing door-to-door sales of the newspapers, telemarketing, and customer service. Before long he came to the conclusion that someone providing those services as an independent contractor would bring a greater degree of efficiency to the process. In 1976 Bob founded Ver-A-Fast Corporation to handle verification services for newspapers and the Elyria Chronicle was his first client. By 2006 his company was providing services to 156 newspapers nationwide. We met recently with Bob, Personnel Manager Mary Diffenbacher and Vice-President of Production Carol Tanner, and listened as they provided this overview of Ver-A-Fast Corporation's services and offerings;
