Spatial Data Partners was founded in 1989 as a data conversion company working primarily with local government agencies and utilities. Chris Rolling got his start when GIS was still in its infancy, and he began selling GPS equipment in the early 1990s. Cinzia Rolling, GISP was a Division Controller for a large engineering firm and began using GIS to effectively manage her business area. Cinzia and Chris became business partners, began tackling larger field mapping and data conversion projects, and developed the business geographic side of their business.
