Lest you think that Neumed is just a couple pieces of testing equipment stuffed into an old black satchel, I should point out that this mobile lab is a twenty-nine foot RV that has been outfitted with top-of-the-line computers and pulmonary diagnostic equipment. For many patients with mobility or transportation difficulties, just getting to the hospital to take the tests can be challenging. Oftentimes it requires the cost of an ambulance or rescue vehicle to get the patient where he or she needs to be tested and working people usually have to take time off work to be able to get to the hospital during testing hours.
