She joined the Handcrafted Soap Makers Guild, took some courses, and became a Certified Soapmaker. In 2005 Barbara founded Earth Essentials Natural Soap to share her health concerns with others, and to teach them that choosing a handmade soap is a luxurious way to care for the only body you are given. We visited with Barbara recently, and listened as she provided this overview of the wonderful, handmade soaps available from Earth Essentials Natural Soap;</p> <blockquote><p align="justify"><i>Earth Essentials Natural Soap specializes in making handmade and hand cut environmentally friendly soaps with all the natural glycerin plus enriching oils for exceptional skin care benefits. We use only soap formulas and ingredients that will enable our products to gently nourish and moisturize you skin naturally. Our soaps are available in a wide range of fragrances, shapes, and colors. Individual batches may be scented with pure essential oils (EO), fragrance oils (FO), or a combination of both (EO/FO).</i></p> <p align="justify"><i>Unlike commercially made soap products, Earth Essentials Natural Soap contains natural glycerin which attracts moisture to the skin. Most commercially made soap products have the natural glycerin removed and are actually synthetic detergents. That's why you won't find the word "soap" on their label, and why they must be marketed as beauty bars or moisturizing bars rather than soap.</i></p> <p align="justify"><i>We make our soap from the finest ingredients using the Cold Process to maintain nutrients and beneficial phytochemicals. Natural glycerin moisturizes the skin, and olive oil is used as it is rich in anti-oxidants and nutrients. We scent our soap with essential oils and fragrance oils that impart their aromatherapy benefits to the soap. Each bar is cut by hand, and then aged naturally for 4-6 weeks.
