The Medina County Health Department was notified that Merck & Co. announced a voluntary recall of one million Haemophilus Influenzae Type B (HiB) vaccine doses in the United States. The Medina County Health Department has not used any of the affected Merck HiB vaccine products to immunize children at any of its clinics. The Medina County Health Department has only used the HiB vaccine from Sanofi Pasteur. Sanofi Pasteur is not part of the HiB vaccine recall.
