Petland of Medina

Donna Galleguillo's desire to invest in the local community coupled with her lifetime fondness for animals made the information she received about Petland franchise opportunities particularly interesting. She and her husband, Ramiro, were shopping through the available franchises and Petland's excellent start-up advice, training, and support told them that this was the right choice. They leased the space formerly occupied by Lighthouse Pools and then it was off to a two week training class at Petland's corporate headquarters. Beginning the first of December 2001, they were back in their store handling pre-opening training and assembling inventory and on December 15, Petland of Medina was open for business!

Petland of Medina is one of the most comprehensive pet stores I've ever seen. They have an impressive selection of exotic birds and a full line of decorative cages. If you're more of a fish fan, you'll be pleased with their selection of freshwater fish and their aquariums, water filters, water conditioners, and aquatic plants. Their puppies and kittens are loved, cuddled, and played with from the moment they arrive in the store and Petland carries everything you could possible need to keep them healthy and happy. In the chance that I've neglected to mention your favorite animal, you should know that they also stock bunnies, gerbils, hamsters, ferrets, Chinchillas, mice, snakes, geckos, iguanas, newts, frogs, turtles, tarantulas, crickets, and just about every other small animal or reptile that comes to mind! In addition to the animals, supplies, and animal food, you'll also find a well stocked section of books and audio tapes on caring and training your pet and even a 1-800 hotline that you can call anytime to talk to an animal behaviorist. The most interesting part of my visit was the discovery of their "Love Room" where you can visit with the pet of your choice. You can spend as much time as you'd like in the "Love Room" getting to know any of their cats or dogs to see how well you, your family, and even your present pet interact with this new prospective member of your family.
